George Springer has been a pivotal piece of the Toronto Blue Jays' run to the World Series. However, his magic has all come from the batter's box. Springer hasn't played in the field since September 24.

But that could change come World Series. If the Blue Jays need Springer in the outfield, he is ready to get back on the diamond defensively, via Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.

Outside of Game 1, in which Anthony Santander was in the lineup, the Blue Jays used the same outfield throughout the American League Championship Series. Nathan Lukes in left, Dalton Varsho in center and Addison Barger in right. All three performed admirably in their roles.

If Santander is healthy enough to play the World Series, maybe the Blue Jays decide to keep him at Designated Hitter. In that case, Springer would shift into that role and play the field. Overall, manager John Schneider can be creative in his lineup.

The most important thing will be ensuring Springer's name is on the lineup card though. Throughout the regular season, he hit .309 with 32 home runs, 84 RBIs and 18 stolen bases. He struggled a bit in the American League Division Series. However, he came to play against the Mariners in the ALCS.

Springer hit .276 with three home runs and seven RBI over the seven game series. His Game 7 three-run blast sent the Blue Jays to the World Series.

Now, Toronto will be going all out as they try to win their first World Series since 1993. If that means Springer playing in the outfield, then both team and player are ready.
