Washington Nationals star Juan Soto continues his tear as one of the best hitters in baseball. The fifth-year pro has shown no signs of slowing down heading into the all-star break

Soto has joined elite company with his recent record. As he records his 75th hit and 75th walk, he joins Mike Trout as the only active player to do this before the All-Star Break. Trout has achieved this twice, once in 2018 and again in 2019.

Juan Soto is also just the third player to ever achieve this feat before turning 24 years old.

As he reaches the halfway point in year five, he is on pace to reach career-highs across the board. He has already recorded 73 hits, 19 home runs, and 54 total runs. He has also racked up 41 RBIs and 115 extra-base hits. Soto is currently hitting slightly below his career average of .292, as he currently sits at .245.

As the season has progressed, Soto has found himself in the middle of trade talks. The 23-year-old outfielder has been one of the names most commonly discussed in these talks. As the Nationals have struggled up to this point in the season, a trade could still be on the horizon.

Soto, who has already won a World Series, is also beginning to build an elite resume. He has already won a batting title and is a two-time Silver Slugger winner.

As Juan Soto enters the All-Star break, he will be making his second appearance in the game. He will also be taking part in the home run derby, an event he won last season
