UFC superstar and former two-division world champion Conor McGregor is almost more famous for what he does outside “The Octagon” these days as his well-known whiskey, “Proper No. Twelve” has only added to such a notion over the course of the last few years. Nonetheless, despite some recent losses as a professional mixed martial artist, McGregor continues to win as an investor and entrepreneur.

On Tuesday, “The Notorious” added close to another $600 million to his seemingly never-ending arsenal of money as McGregor sold a majority stake of his “Proper No. Twelve” whiskey to Proximo Spirits, the same company that notably owns Jose Cuervo among several other recognizable alcohol brands. Proximo Spirits has acquired this majority stake as part of a deal that is worth up to $600 million.

Proximo Spirits previously owned 49 percent of the company while the aforementioned $600 million will now be split between McGregor, Audie Attar, and Ken Austin, who are the brand's co-founders. Attar is Mcgregor's agent at Paradigm Sports Management while Austin has been their partner throughout this process with “Proper No. Twelve since its origin back in 2018.

It is worth noting, though, that Proximo Spirits' new stake in the company has not been disclosed nor has the length of the renewed deal between the two sides.

Inside “The Octagon,” Conor McGregor hasn't been so fortunate. He is 1-2 in his last three fights as he was finished by former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier. McGregor initially defeated Poirier back in 2014 while his lone win during this current stretch was over an aging Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.
