Marvel's newest hero had quite an adventure this week. Here are the different Moon Knight episode 3 easter eggs that will help make your viewing experience a lot better.

Moon Knight episode 3 easter eggs

Moon Knight, Oscar Isaac, Marvel, Entertainment

The council of Egyptian gods and their avatars

Right before Khonshu manipulated the night sky to how it was 2,000 years ago, he caused an eclipse to summon the Egyptian Gods with the hope of their aid against Harrow. As Marc makes his way inside the Great Pyramid, he is greeted by the avatars of Isis, Osiris, Horus, and Hathor. They are later joined by Harrow.

It is then revealed that these gods have abandoned humanity and decided not to meddle in their affairs anymore. The scene ends when Harrow convinces these gods not to believe Khonshu or Spector because the latter's mind is broken and cannot be trusted with its multiple personalities.

In Egyptian mythology, Horus is a falcon-headed god and the child of Osiris and Isis. The former is the god of resurrection and agriculture while the latter is the goddess of life and magic. Hathor, meanwhile, is the Egyptian goddess of music and beauty.

It remains to be seen whether these gods will play a more significant role in the upcoming episodes of Moon Knight.

The appearance of Midnight Man in the MCU

As Marc and Layla go on their quest to search for Ammit's tomb, they end up on the property of Anton Mogart, a known antique dealer who possesses the sarcophagus of Senfu and the map they're looking for.

In the comics, Mogart is an art thief who goes by the moniker of Midnight Man. His whole MO is to steal priceless art pieces in the middle of the night, hence the name he goes by.

Mogart, who is played by the late Gaspard Ulliel, doesn't share much with the character based on the comics. As because he died in this episode, it seems that the appearance of this antique dealer won't be explored further in the MCU, owing to the fact that Ulliel's role might not be recast anymore.

A possible third personality

As the episode started, fans were treated to a montage of scenes showing Marc blacking out as Steven gained control on multiple occasions. This comes as he was chasing Harrow's men to gain a lead on where the cult leader's location is.

As a knife fight is happening between Marc and three other men, he is interrupted by Steven and leads to another blackout. He then regains consciousness and sees himself stabbing one of the henchmen. As Steven isn't capable of doing such an act, this leads Marc to wonder who stabbed the man before him.

There's a possibility that it isn't just Marc and Steven inside the body. In the comics, a third personality who goes by the name of Jake Lockley is in control of the body at certain points in the character's history. Lockley is a cab driver whose specialty is gathering information on the streets.

Madripoor

As Layla and Mogart were talking, it was mentioned that the pair last met in Madripoor. This location has been used before in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series on Disney+ as a lawless island in Southeast Asia. Along with its MCU version, the Madripoor in the comics also serves as a sanctuary for criminals and lawless elements.

These four easter eggs are the most prominent in this week's episode of Moon Knight. Without a doubt, next week's show will have more, enriching the viewing experience of Marvel fans everywhere.
