Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson, the popular video content creator, has revealed his intentions of forming his own professional League of Legends team. MrBeast took to Twitter to express his fondness for League of Legends and his desire to own his own team.

His initial tweet was met with a myriad of exciting responses from fans and esports organizations. Yet despite a lot of organizations and prominent figures in the industry showing interest in MrBeast's new team, the content creator reiterated his desire to create a new organization.

MrBeast, in a recent 24-hour stream, guaranteed the creation of his own League of Legends team in the future.

“Just give me a little bit of time. We have so much going on with this channel, the side channel, and all of the other companies…so definitely not this season or the Summer Split either. But we are definitely going to have a Beast Gaming League of Legends team—100 percent.”

Fans of MrBeast may hope to see his new team rocking the professional stage sometime in 2022. MrBeast's entry into potentially owning his own esports organization could potentially open the door for other content creators to do the same. One only needs adequate funding and ample passion in any esports title to begin the process of forming their own team.

Unusual personalities and companies have long been present in professional esports. We have teams financed by telecommunication companies, condiment manufacturers, streaming services, and even former professional players. We may see more content creators trying their hand at crafting teams for the games they love.
