While all the attention was on the Golden State Warriors this year, the San Antonio Spurs quietly won a franchise record 67 games. A number that ties them for the seventh best regular season record of all time with five other teams, one of which is the Warriors championship season from last year.
One of the key factors of the Spurs success is star small forward and MVP runner-up, Kawhi Leonard who had an amazing season that also brought him the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award. While the season may be over for the Spurs, Leonard is still piling up the honors. The NBA All-Defensive Teams were announced today, and Kawhi Leonard was unanimously voted to the NBA All-Defensive First Team.

Other notable players include Draymond Green, who only received five All-Defensive Second Team votes, and Chris Paul, who has now been named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team six times.
Chris Paul was named to All-Defensive First Team for the sixth time, making him the 12th player all time with at least six career nods.
