The NBA Draft is coming up in just a few weeks, and everyone is wondering what will happen with Bronny James. Bronny didn't have a great season with USC basketball last year, but he decided to enter the NBA Draft. Bronny is obviously the son of LeBron James, and because of that, there is a lot of attention on him.

Last season with the USC basketball team, Bronny James averaged 4.8 PPG, 2.8 RPG and 2.1 APG. He shot 36.6% from the field and 26.7% from deep. A lot of people were surprised that he entered the NBA Draft, and now everyone is wondering if any team will take a chance and pick him.

One benefit of drafting Bronny is that it could be lead to landing LeBron James as well. He has noted that he wants to play with his son, but just being in the league at the same time might be enough.

Channing Frye and Dan Patrick discussed Bronny and the NBA Draft on the Dan Patrick Show, and Frye thinks that Bronny would fit in well with Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.

“If that was my son, I would want him to go to San Antonio, if that was my son and he was that famous,” Channing Frye said. “Why, number one, the system, he’s not in a big city, and two, you are literally getting ready to play with the face of the league, Victor Wembanyama. So I’m not thinking about this year or next year, I’m thinking about the next 10-15 years. Who do you want to be around, and to me that’s Victor Wembanyama.”

Dan Patrick agrees with the take

Dan Patrick and Channing Frye discussed Bronny James to the Spurs some more, and Patrick agreed with the take.

Channing Frye: “I mean why would you not if you’re a guard, who do you want to play with?”

Dan Patrick: “Oh I agree, and he [Victor Wembanyama] could use a point guard because he didn’t have one his rookie year.”

Channing Frye: “And he [Bronny James] can shoot, he needs a point guard, he needs somebody who can shoot.”

Dan Patrick: “Do you think LeBron would be upset with either the Spurs or the Lakers if his son goes there?”

Channing Frye: “No, I just think at the end of the day, he’s a dad, he wants his son in the leauge. If his son is good enough to play in the league, and he’s in the league, he’s won, he’s done his job as a dad, he’s set him up for success.”

We'll see what happens with Bronny James when the NBA Draft rolls around on June 26th. Maybe he'll end up with Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs.
