The Golden State Warriors were able to stay alive with a 106-105 win over the Toronto Raptors in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Unfortunately, the big win came along with a horrible loss. Kevin Durant went down with what has been described as a lower right leg injury in the second quarter of the game.

Speculation has begun to rise that Durant actually tore his Achilles on the play. He had just come back from sitting out nearly a month due to a right calf injury.

Following the Warriors' big win, Durant took to his Instagram account to send out a message. Durant shared that he is feeling down, but the win helped him quite a bit.

Durant will undergo an MRI tomorrow to find out the actual diagnosis of the injury. We can only hope that the early diagnosis of a torn Achilles will not end up being the case.

This injury will complicate the rest of the NBA Finals without question, but will also make things more difficult for Durant this offseason. He is set to hit free agency and the injury could change the way teams look at him from a contract perspective. That being said, he is still Kevin Durant and teams are going to want to sign him if they can get him.

Golden State will now have to prepare for Game 6 on Thursday night. The Warriors are still major underdogs, but this win showed that they aren't done yet.

We will have more updates on Durant's injury as information comes out.
