Eight teams are reportedly showing interest in signing point guard T.J. McConnell.

According to Darren Wolfson of KSTP, the Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers have interest in signing McConnell, who has played his first four years in the NBA with the Sixers:

This past season with the Sixers, McConnell averaged 6.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 52.5 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 78.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Timberwolves have Jeff Teague on the roster. Tyus Jones is a restricted free agent. McConnell could replace Jones if Minnesota loses him.

The Heat could need a point guard, as they are expected to trade Goran Dragic away. The Grizzlies could sign McConnell to be Ja Morant's backup, while the Suns could put TJ behind Ricky Rubio. The Lakers and Pacers could use more help at point guard.

The Sixers could always decide to bring McConnell back as Ben Simmons' backup. Philly re-signed Tobias Harris on Sunday and made a big splash by signing All-Star big man Al Horford away from the Boston Celtics, but Jimmy Butler is heading to the Miami Heat.

For his career, McConnell has averages of 6.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 314 games.
