Carmelo Anthony was just enjoying his day on Tuesday when he saw a post on Instagram which said he's “probably done.”

Anthony, who hasn't played in an NBA game since November, took offense to the post and was quick to react to it.

Carmelo Antony began this season with the Houston Rockets. He only played in 10 games with them before the team exiled him.

Houston traded Melo to the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls then waived Anthony, who has been on the open market since February.

Carmelo Anthony averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game with the Rockets while shooting 40.5 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line.

There were rumors that the Lakers were going to sign Anthony, but after Los Angeles fell out of the playoff picture, those speculations dissipated.

The demise of Carmelo has been tough to watch. He's one of the greatest scorers in NBA history and will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer one day. His last two seasons in the league, unfortunately, have been bad and it's tainted his legacy, fair or not.

Hopefully, a team this summer gives Anthony a chance. You never want to see a player retire because he was forced to.
