After having one the worst games of his NBA career against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, Jayson Tatum has bounced back against the Portland Trail Blazers. Now, Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell believes Tatum's new haircut is the key reason he's returned to his normal self again.

Tatum caused an uproar on social media when he posted his new curly haircut a few weeks ago. However, Tatum cut off his curls just before Sunday's match-up against the Blazers.

Tatum had one of the worst games of his career against the Bucks, finishing 2-for-18 with five points in Boston’s 119-112 loss. Despite his poor performance, Tatum laughed it off and told NBA reporters that he'll just move on and focus on the next game.

“Can’t do nothing about it now, you just got to focus on the next game and whether you play good or bad, I think that’s always how I approach it. That’s just how I approach it. It is what it is,” Jayson Tatum said.

Tatum did exactly that on Sunday's NBA seeding game. In the first half against the Blazers, the Celtics star finished with 21 points and three rebounds. Furthermore, he shot 4-for-6 from 3-point range, giving the Boston a 19 point lead at half.

As for the Celtics, prior to the NBA showdown against the Blazers, they were at 43-22 and third in the Eastern Conference — four games behind the second-seeded Toronto Raptors.
