Miami Heat legend and future Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade wants to see his pal Carmelo Anthony “get back into the league.”

Anthony hasn't played in an NBA game since November of 2018. Wade says Anthony can still play the game at a high level and believes any team which signs Melo has to let the veteran scorer play the way he normally does.

“The place that wants him. The place that’s going to allow him to be Melo and understand that he still can play the game of basketball,” Wade told Brandon ‘Scoop B' Robinson of Heavy. “Definitely want to see him get back into the league.

“But you also want to see him get back to a place where they can allow Melo to play the game he loves the way that Melo can.”

Carmelo Anthony played in just 10 games with the Houston Rockets last season before the franchise exiled and traded him to the Chicago Bulls in January. The 10-time All-Star averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds with the Rockets while shooting 40.5 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Carmelo Anthony’s future in the NBA is very uncertain, as we are in September and Melo is still on the open market. Hopefully, a team hears Dwyane Wade's words and gives Melo one more shot in the NBA.
