Former Golden State Warriors forward James McAdoo is looking to make his way back to the NBA. But for now, he's heading to Turkey to continue his basketball journey.

Per Emiliano Carchia of Sportando, the 6-foot-9 McAdoo has signed with Turkish team Besiktas.

McAdoo entered the NBA in 2014 as an undrafted prospect. He spent his first three seasons with the Warriors where he snagged two titles — in 2015 and 2017. After his stint with the Warriors, he inked a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers in the summer of 2017. However, he was waived come January 2018.

In his NBA tenure, the North Carolina product averaged 3.0 points and 1.7 rebounds in 7.9 minutes per game. He shot 52.8 percent from the field. In the postseason, he played a total of 26 games and logged in 1.3 points and 1.0 rebound in 4.0 minutes per contest.

McAdoo can be tagged as one of those players who failed to develop due to lack of opportunities. Somehow being part of a championship team was a blessing and a curse. While he did learn tons of things from the likes of Stephen Curry, Andre Iguodala, Draymond Green, he was placed at the bottom of the rotation simply because the team had to rely on the more experienced players.

But perhaps the good thing is that McAdoo is just 26-years-old. There are tons of NBA players who honed their skills abroad and came back to the league better than before.
