Brooklyn Nets superstar small forward Kevin Durant is the betting favorite to win Friday's NBA 2K tournament.

The league has planned a players-only NBA 2K tournament in the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown:

Kevin Durant is apparently really good at NBA 2K. Nets fans are looking forward to watching the two-time Finals MVP bring home the championship, at least virtually.

The league suspended the 2019-20 season following Rudy Gobert's positive coronavirus test. Durant tested positive as well, but he's said to be 100 percent healthy again, as is Gobert.

Durant didn’t have to tell Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium that he tested positive for COVID-19. However, the NBA superstar knows his voice travels far and he wanted to impact people in a positive way.

KD was set to miss this entire 2019-20 season for the Nets, as he’s still recovering from the Achilles tear he suffered in Game 5 of 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Even if the season resumes down the road, Durant is not expected to return.

With the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors, Durant holds career NBA averages of 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists. Nets fans can’t wait to see KD suit up for them with Kyrie Irving by his side at the Barclays Center.
