LaMelo Ball shocked the world with his decision to sign with shoe giant Puma last August. This decision obviously meant that the 19-year-old NBA prospect has officially parted ways with Big Baller Brand–a brand his father created and has been spearheading since 2016.

Apparently, the younger Ball's decision to shift gears in terms of his shoe deal also came as a huge surprise to his own father, who aired his frustrations on his youngest son deciding to go with a more established brand.

LaVar's raw reaction on LaMelo's Puma deal was previewed at the end of the latest episode of “Ball in the Family” where the 53-year old was seemingly livid.

The fact that LaMelo Ball hasn't been seen in the sixth season of the his family's reality show makes things a little more interesting. For obvious reasons, the top prospect of this year's NBA Draft has been unavailable for the show given that he's preparing for the upcoming rookie selection all the way in Detroit. But with the Balls, you can't really know for sure what's going on.

The young Ball has been all over the news as of late, not just because of his multi-year deal with Puma but also because of the fact that he is poised to be a lottery pick in the upcoming NBA Draft this month.

After a one-year stint in Australia with the Illara Hawks, the 6-foot-7 guard is looking to join the league and possibly provide an instant boost to the team that picks him. The Minnesota Timberwolves (no. 1) and the Golden State Warriors (no. 2) have been heavily picked to draft Ball, with the Charlotte Hornets and the Chicago Bulls having an outside chance to grab the talented 19-year-old.
