Former NBA center Lorenzen Wright's ex-wife, Sherra Wright-Robinson, has been charged with murder in his death following an investigation, which comes over seven years after his slaying.

According to an article published by writers Katie Fretland, Yolanda Jones and Marc Perrusquia of The Commercial Appeal, Wright's ex-wife was taken into custody in Riverside, Calif. Wright-Robinson, 46, was charged with conspiring with a Memphis-area man, Billy Turner, 46, to kill her former husband. She was indicted on charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

Lorenzen Wright's mother, Deborah Marion, was elated to hear that both of her son's killers were now in police custody.

“Thank you Jesus! Thank you Jesus! They got her! They got her!’’ Marion said on Friday night. “They need to bury her.’’

Wright, a University of Memphis standout and 13-year NBA player, was murdered on July 19, 2010, during a 911 call to a dispatcher in Germantown, Tenn., shortly after midnight. His bullet-riddled and badly decomposed body was discovered in a wooded area by police officers ten days later just southeast of Memphis. Wright was only 34 years old at the time of his death.

“If you're involved in this case, I would encourage you to come forward now before we come get you,” Memphis police Director Michael Rallings said on Saturday.

In 778 career games in the NBA, Lorenzen Wright averaged 8.0 points on 45.9 percent shooting and 6.4 rebounds per game.
