Los Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams had a very important decision to make: the veteran was asked which NBA player on double duty as rappers ā€œgotta go.ā€

Between Portland Trail Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard, New Orleans Pelicans third-year point guard Lonzo Ball, and NBA free agent shooting guard Iman Shumpert, Williams was given a choice.

Here's how he answered ESPN's Ros Gold-Onwude:

ā€œLonzo Ball gotta go,ā€ the veteran guard answered the ESPN reporter's challenging question.

To be fair, Ball was up against tough company, with Williams having to choose between two more established players in both the NBA and rap game.

Lillard, a five-time All-Star, also goes by the name ā€œDame D.O.L.L.A.,ā€ releasing four studio albums in the last four years. Lillard has worked with hip-hop mainstays like Lil Wayne and Jeremih. The Blazers floor general also originated a social-media phenomenon of sharing ā€œfour barsā€ on Fridays. Ball has released several rap singles and an album, ā€œBorn 2 Ball,ā€ dropped two years ago.

Shumpert, meanwhile, has released music of his own. Shumpert was known well in the overlapping NBA rap circle for his ā€œKnickstapeā€ track released while he was with the New York franchise. Shumpert also dates Teyana Taylor, a hip-hop and R&B singer, which may help his rap credentials given he could have backup vocals any given time.

Lou Williams is coming off his third season with the Clippers. A three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year, the veteran combo guard has been a career feaster from off the bench, scoring at will for multiple franchises.
