There is a surprising favorite to land Anthony:
Any Chinese Team: +100
If/when Carmelo Anthony gets released by the Rockets at some point this season, it will be interesting to see how his market shakes out.
If no team in the NBA wants him on their squad, it is quite possible Anthony will have to play overseas in China. That is really nothing to be ashamed of, though, as a lot of ex-NBA players have made a living playing over there, and some have had great success.
After China comes the Philadelphia 76ers. There have been conflicting reports about the Sixers' potential interest in Anthony, but they could use more shooting and frontcourt depth after trading for Jimmy Butler.
The fact that Anthony's former team, the Denver Nuggets, is on this list is pretty wild. Perhaps time heals all wounds in the end? Melo, the No. 3 pick in the 2003 NBA Draft to Denver, built his career there before demanding a trade to the New York Knicks. Returning to an up-and-coming Nuggets squad would certainly be an intriguing option.
Finally, the Brooklyn Nets are likely on this list because of Melo's ties to New York, though it's interesting that the Knicks aren't listed.
