Not long after being given the boot by ESPN, Paul Pierce appears to have stumbled upon the next step in his career. The Boston Celtics legend recently posted a quick video of himself inside what he calls “the lab” and it's sure to raise more than a few eyebrows.

Here's Pierce in what appears to be his announcement of his decision to venture into the lucrative business of Cannabis (h/t Dime on Twitter):

That's a complete turnaround for Paul Pierce who was an anchor for one of the top sports networks in the world not too long ago. However, following a rather controversial IG Live stream, ESPN quickly fired Paul from his post. Pierce inexplicably made the decision to do a live broadcast of himself surrounded by strippers, which unsurprisingly drew the ire of his (now former) employer.

It didn't take long for Pierce to jump into his next business venture though. It remains unclear if he's actually invested in the production and sale of Cannabis, but based on his video above, this appears to be the case.

It is also worth noting that Pierce recently sold off his Calabasas mansion for $8.7 million so perhaps this is where some of the money had gone to. The Cannabis industry is actually a very profitable one so we can't fault Pierce for being business-minded here. There's no denying that there is a lot of controversy surrounding it, but at this point, it appears that this has become somewhat on-brand for Paul Pierce.
