Journeyman Quincy Acy is on his way to play for the Maccabi Tel Aviv in the EuroLeague. The team made the signing official on Wednesday, adding the 6-foot-7 big man to their roster.

Acy gave his thoughts on joining Maccabi and seemed enthusiastic about the opportunity to play for them, per EuroHoops.net.

“I’m excited to put on the Maccabi jersey, to bring passion, grit, and energy every game as we fight to win and bring success,” Acy said. “I’m ready to get going, ready to get some wins. I’m ready to come to Tel Aviv with my family and join the fan base.”

The 28-year-old big man never truly found a home until he settled for 100 straight games with the Brooklyn Nets from 2016 to 2018. He put up his best numbers in Brooklyn, averaging 6.5 points and 3.3 rebounds per game while shooting 42 percent from the field.
The Baylor product now joins a fairly decent EuroLeague team where he can continue to play basketball for a living for at least one more season. Hopefully, Acy plays well in Israel and brings the same competitive sport to EuroLeague games that he did to the NBA.
