Boston Celtics great Ray Allen has had it with all the violence in the United States. The 43-year-old recently went off on his Instagram account, and he did not mince words in showing which side he's on when it comes to the polarizing issue of gun reform in the country.

In a lengthy yet very meaningful post, Allen explained exactly why he believes it is time for America to rethink its national policy on gun control.

Nobody is happy about the recent rise of gun-related violence in the country, and Allen was not afraid to let his true feelings on the matter known publicly.

Allen himself was a sharpshooter in his heyday — on the basketball court, of course. He is widely considered by many as one of, if not the greatest three-point shooter of all time. If his career tally is any indication, however, then Allen's 2,973 made thee-pointers in his 18-year career (ranked number one all-time in the history of the league) then surely, he has to be at the very pinnacle.

Allen was recently inducted to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame for all his contributions to the sport. He is truly one of the greatest to ever play the game, and he has certainly made his mark in the history of the league.
