Former NBA forward Stephen Jackson firmly believes NBA execs are blackballing Carmelo Anthony.

In a recent edition of Jackson’s video podcast with Matt Barnes called “All the Smoke,” Jackson claims a mass text has been sent through NBA execs saying, “Don't f**k with Carmelo Anthony.”

“It’s the same situation they did to a lot of players,” Jackson said. “They put him in a situation they know he’s not going to succeed, make it look like he can’t play no more, make it look like he’s a cancer and just push him out. And once they get you to that point where you’re a cancer or you can’t play no more, it’s a text that’s sent out to every team — it’s a mass text that sent out to every team, every team’s CC’d, ‘Don’t f**k with him.' “

Carmelo Anthony hasn’t played in an NBA game since November of last year. He lasted just 10 games with the Houston Rockets before the franchise exiled and eventually traded him to the Chicago Bulls, who wound up waiving the future Hall of Famer.

Carmelo Anthony averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds with the Rockets while shooting 40.5 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line.

There’s a real chance that we may have seen the last of Carmelo Anthony in the NBA.
