The Oklahoma City Thunder are in need of a quality 3-and-D wing. With the New York Knicks potentially dangling Courtney Lee as trade bait, somebody seems to have had some fun on Wikipedia coming up with a trade scenario for Lee and the Thunder.

The Knicks have multiple players with high salaries right now and are in the midst of a rebuild, so Lee may not fit their plans. There's no denying Lee is a quality role player, but he still has two years and about $25 million left on his deal. New York is planning on being a big player in free agency next summer, and getting out of the veteran wing's contract would help with flexibility. The same can be said of Joakim Noah's contract.

On the other hand, the Thunder would definitely think twice about pushing the button on this trade. Even though Lee could help them win now, taking on his $12.25 million for 2018-19 would add more money to their record-breaking payroll, even when you factor in getting rid of Kyle Singler and Alex Abrines.

Besides, the Thunder already snatched Dennis Schroder from the Atlanta Hawks, which means Westbrook is already in line to do more off-ball duties on offense. Singler has been a disappointment throughout his career, but Abrines' 38 percent clip from beyond the arc in his two seasons in the league is something worth investing in at a reasonable price.
