The Portland Trail Blazers will head east to take on the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden on Sunday night. It’s time to continue our NBA odds series and make a Blazers-Celtics prediction and pick.

Portland is riding high after a big 19-point win in Brooklyn a few nights ago. They have now won three-straight games and will look for a sweep of this four-game road skid. Boston has begun to resurrect their season over the past month and are coming off of one of the most impressive wins in their franchises history.

Here’s how sportsbooks have set the opening Blazers-Celtics odds.

NBA Odds: Blazers-Celtics Odds

Portland Trail Blazers +1 (-110)

Boston Celtics -1 (-110)

Over 232 Points (-110)

Under 232 Points (-110)

Why The Blazers Could Cover The Spread

The Portland Trail Blazers seem to be a team that has been reborn over the past week or so. The Blazers had a dreadful month of April, going 6-10 after suffering through a five-game losing streak earlier in the month. Their current three-game winning streak salvaged the month and has now set them up for a ton of success in May. Portland is thrilled to be clicking right now as they'll have an uphill battle to conquering the Western Conference this season.

The current winning streak has been catapulted by the explosion on the offensive end of the floor. The Blazers are averaging 130.3 points per game during the winning streak and just dropped 128 in a convincing win against the east-leading Brooklyn Nets. All three wins have come on the road and Portland is set to close out this four-game road trip against the Celtics. Despite all of the recent success, Portland will ultimately live or die on the defensive end of the floor going forward.

Why The Celtics Could Cover The Spread

The Boston Celtics have been one of the most underwhelming teams in the league this season. Although Boston hasn't lived up to their sky-high expectations, they have been one of the best teams in basketball since the start of April. The Celtics pulled off a five-game winning streak and went 11-5 overall last month. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are a legitimate duo that will be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time.

Boston's latest win against the San Antonio Spurs was probably the most improbable win we've seen in a long time. The overtime thriller saw Boston go down huge before roaring back behind Jayson Tatum's 60-point outing. Tatum tied Larry Bird for the most points scored by a Celtic in a game. When Boston gets key contributions from guys like Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, and Robert Williams, this Celtic team is hard to beat.

Final Blazers-Celtics Prediction & Pick

Portland is red-hot and riding high after a big road win against the Brooklyn Nets. I like the momentum that they carry into this game. I just don't see them being able to bring enough energy on the defensive end to slow down the surging Celtics. Boston has the edge on that end of the floor and plays significantly better on their home court. Portland's successful four-game road trip will be capped off by a tough loss in Boston.

FINAL PICK PREDICTION: Boston Celtics  -10 (-110)
