The Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics will play in an Eastern Conference matchup on Monday. It's time to continue our NBA odds series and make a Celtics-Bulls prediction and pick.

The Bulls and Celtics come into Monday's action in very different circumstances early in this NBA season. The Bulls look good with their new additions, and sit with a very solid 5-1 record so far, with their lone loss being a 104-103 battle with the New York Knicks.

The Celtics on the other hand are 2-4 this season and have struggled mightily under new coach Ime Udoka. Zach LaVine and Lonzo Ball have formed a nice chemistry in the backcourt early this season, and Demar DeRozan looks good for the Bulls as well. Despite the win-loss records, the Bulls are still underdogs Monday night in Boston.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the Bulls-Celtics odds for this Monday night matchup.

Why The Bulls Can Cover The Spread

The Bulls have been one of the best teams in the NBA so far during the 2021-22 season. Their schedule was a bit weak to start, but the Bulls took down the Utah Jazz on Saturday night in what is easily their most impressive win to date. LaVine is averaging 25.5 points and 4.5 assists per game, and most importantly figuring out ways to win games. LaVine, Ball and DeRozan each bring a different skill set to the table, and are flowing together well as a trio out of the gates. The Bulls should be in a good position to cover a slim underdog on the road vs. a struggling Boston group.

Why The Celtics Can Cover The Spread

The Celtics have struggled immensely so far, going 2-4 through six games under their new head coach. Much of the scoring load is put upon Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, as they account for the majority of Boston's offense. The Dennis Schroeder addition is a work in progress, and the Celtics have struggled to get production out of the second unit.

This matchup with a surging Bulls team is a tough test, but the Celtics will also be desperate to protect their home floor and avoid a 2-5 start to the season. The Celtics laying points in this spot is a little much. It would be nice to at least see them look good before picking them to cover vs. a hot opponent. They still have the best player on the floor in Tatum, though, and come into the season as a more established unit than this Bulls group. The market meets in the middle.

Final Bulls-Celtics Prediction & Pick

Take the Bulls and the points. Boston some has real rotation issues to sort out, and Chicago has been rolling.
