Why The Hornets Could Cover The Spread
LaMelo Ball and the Hornets have been an explosive offensive team this season. The issue is, their defense is lousy. The Hornets are a young team that has figured out how to score but hasn't quite figured out how to defend. Charlotte is 7-3 in their last ten games as they will look to stay hot in New York on Monday. As just slim dogs, the Hornets will need to win to cover barring a line change. Kelly Oubre Jr. is out for the Hornets as he remains in health and safety protocols. Ball will look to have a big game on his way to win in Madison Square Garden on Monday.

The Hornets are 26-17 against the spread this season, and 19-13 vs. the line as the underdog this season. Charlotte is 7-3 vs. the spread in their last ten games, and has covered in four of their last five.

New York will look to continue their push at a postseason spot with another strong performance vs. the Hornets on Monday.
