Why The Knicks Could Cover The Spread
The New York Knicks have been one of the more interesting teams to follow this season. They started off scorching hot, but have since cooled down quite a bit. New York did, however, manage to notch a 12 point victory over the San Antonio Spurs. If New York can carry that momentum into Wednesday's game then they could come out ahead. The Knicks have a lot of talent and showed early in the season that they can compete and beat some of the best teams in the league. The Indiana Pacers are a better team than their record suggests. The Pacers are coming off a 6 point victory over a solid Wizards team. If they can carry that momentum into this match and players can step up then they should be able to defend their home court. The Knicks are not an opponent that should be taken lightly, so the Pacers will need to come in prepared and ready for battle.
Leading the way for Indiana is Domantas Sabonis. Sabonis has really become one of the best all around players in the league. In their win over the Wizards, Sabonis had 30 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals. Sabonis can do it all and will likely have a big impact on the outcome of this game. While his season averages are down from last year, Sabonis has momentum on his side. There are many games left in this season for Sabonis to surpass last year's performance. Another bright spot in this Pacers team has been Malcolm Brogdon. Brogdon has been having another great season and has been a big part of this Indiana team. Against Washington, Brogdon had 17 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds. Brogdon is a great complementary piece to Sabonis and these two are great leaders for Indiana. If Brogdon can have a big scoring night on Wednesday then the Pacers should be able to win this one by a wide margin. Brogdon has been a big part of the Pacers offense and that will likely be on display on Wednesday.

This is a close one. Either of these teams could win on Wednesday, it really will just come down to who wants it more. The Knicks have the talent to take down Indiana. The Randle-Sabonis match-up is very enticing and will likely be what this game comes down to. Another match-up to watch is Barrett and Brogdon. Both these teams have strong duos that can take over.
