The Golden State Warriors will play the Milwaukee Bucks in an inter-conference matchup on Thursday night. It's time continue our NBA odds series with a Warriors-Bucks prediction and pick.

The Warriors and Bucks are set to matchup on Thursday in a matchup between two of the top contenders for the Larry O’Brien Trophy. Each side seems likely to be missing one of their best defenders for this one. Draymond Green (calf tightness) is listed as out for the Warriors, while Jrue Holiday (ankle soreness) is listed as doubtful for the Bucks. Both of these absences are huge as Green and Holiday and respectively the best options for their team to matchup with MVPs Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry. The Bucks come in as slight home favorites over the Warriors in this heavyweight matchup.

Here is how FanDuel has set theWarriors-Bucks odds for this Thursday NBA matchup.

Why The Warriors Could Cover The Spread

The absence of Green is huge for the Warriors' defense, obviously, as Golden State lost to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday in his absence. Golden State should still have a good shot to cover and win in this one with Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala and Andrew Wiggins all healthy and ready to go. The Warriors have lost three of their last four games, scoring under 100 three times in that span. Golden State will simply need to deliver a better offensive performance if they want to beat Antetokounmpo and a physical Bucks team on their home floor. This is one of the worst games to be without Draymond Green on the entire schedule for the Warriors. They can still get the win, but it will be tough.

Golden State vs. the spread

The Warriors are 23-15-2 against the spread so far this season, but just 5-5 vs. the line over their last ten games. Golden State is 9-9-1 on the road vs. the spread this season, and 4-3 as the away dog.

Why The Bucks Could Cover The Spread

The absence of Holiday will be huge in regards to checking Curry, so that is big, but the Bucks have a few more tough perimeter defenders. Grayson Allen, Donte DiVincenzo and Khris Middleton could all see time chasing Curry around in this one, among others. The Warriors truly have no matchup for Antetokounmpo without Green, so this could be advantage Bucks. Milwaukee has lost four of their last five however, as the absence of Holiday has thrown them off their rhythm to be sure. Holiday is one of the best two-way players in the game and his importance, especially in matchup like this, cannot be understated.

Milwaukee vs. the spread

The Bucks are 19-24 vs. the spread so far this season, and 7-13 against the line as home favorites. Milwaukee has covered just once in their last five games, but they had covered in four of five (winning all five of those games) before that.

Final Warriors-Bucks Prediction and Pick

Take the Bucks to win and cover at home vs. the Warriors on Thursday. Milwaukee is due for a win and should come out with urgency trying to avoid their third straight home loss and fifth in their last six games.

Final Warriors-Bucks Prediction & Pick: Bucks -1.5 (-110)
