Citing an inside source, NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins said that the Los Angeles Clippers will break the team up after blowing a 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Semis.

“The Clippers are going to break this up, whether you like it or not. I heard from an inside source they are going to break this up.”

Perkins went to the specifics, noting the Clippers players that have to go. These are Reggie Jackson, Montrezl Harrell, and Lou Williams.

While some may not fully believe Kendrick Perkins' bomb, there's still enough reason to believe that the Clippers organization is looking to start anew after an embarrassing showing against the Nuggets.

After all, the Clippers' acquisitions of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George last offseason was the talk of the entire NBA. Here you have two of the best two-way players in the league, teaming up with a gritty and hungry squad who have already proven their worth. Not to mention that coaching squad comprised of Doc Rivers, Tyronn Lue, Sam Cassell, among others.

The Clippers did well in the regular season, locking in the second seed. They achieved this despite putting Leonard and George under “load management” restrictions in several games. Even without them, the duo of Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell were enough to lead the pack.

Given these facts, the Clippers were the top favorites to face the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. Quite a number even believed that Leonard will again work his magic and lead the Clippers to its first NBA title.

But then, as we all saw, the Clippers succumbed to the lower-seeded Nuggets squad. To add insult to injury, they blew a 3-1 lead.
