The Golden State Warriors are at a crossroads as a franchise. Not only will they soon have to decide soon just how much longer they would straddle the line between contending and player development, they will also have to deal with a potential front-office overhaul. The contract of Bob Myers – the Warriors' longtime general manager and architect of the Dubs dynasty – will soon expire in July, and he, too, could be on his way out of Golden State.

And should Myers decide to pursue a new endeavor in his career, there will be plenty of teams that will come calling for his services. Some sources have mentioned the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, and New York Knicks as potential destinations for the 47-year old front-office executive.

But the Los Angeles Clippers stand out as, perhaps, Bob Myers' most likely destination due to his ties to Los Angeles and owner Steve Ballmer's capacity to offer him an eye-popping deal given his considerable financial might. However, a source close to the Clippers organization “pushed back on the widely discussed Myers possibility“, per Anthony Slater, Marcus Thompson II and Sam Amick of The Athletic,

It's unclear as to exactly why the Clippers have pushed back on this potential move, given Myers' great track record as an executive. Perhaps the Clippers brass is simply using this opportunity to prop up the confidence of their current front office led by president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank and general manager Michael Winger.

One thing's for sure, Bob Myers will have his pick of the litter should he and the Warriors fail to agree on a new deal within the coming months.
