The Golden State Warriors are looking to add more depth on the wings as they are reportedly interested in trading for Atlanta Hawks forward Bogdan Bogdanovic, per The Athletic‘s Shams Charania.

He had a busy offseason as many teams wanted to secure his services, including the Milwaukee Bucks who were quick to close a deal with him. However, the sign-and-trade agreement fell apart which led Bogdanovic to settle with the Hawks instead.

Despite landing a four-million, $72 million contract, the Serbian talent has yet to prove his worth after missing multiple games due to a knee injury. He eventually returned to action in early March but was only limited to averages of 9.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists through 17 games played.

Trapped in a loaded rotation headlined by Kevin Huerter, Danilo Gallinari, Solomon Hill, Cam Reddish, and Deandre Hunter, it will definitely be hard for Bogdanovic to carve out a major role with the Hawks this season. Having a ball-dominant point guard in Trae Young would also lessen his touches and limit him from being productive on the offensive end.

In fact, it was reported that the Hawks have made both Bogdanovic and Cam Reddish available ahead of the trade deadline, especially considering the fact the Hawks have a ton of players in their rotation.

Bogdanovic would definitely secure a spot in the Warriors rotation as the Dubs are running thin on their wing unit led by Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr. The two veterans have been fairly inconsistent this season which would open up more opportunities for Bogdanovic on the floor.

With a 22-21 record, the Warriors would definitely need to surround their main man in Stephen Curry with all the talent that they can get at this point in their campaign. Hopefully, Bogdan Bogdanovic would be one of the pieces that will help the Warriors turn things around and lead them back to the playoff picture this season.
