Former NBA legend and Hall of Fame forward Dennis Rodman made a bit of a gaffe when sending a personal video greeting to Italian soccer player Andrea Petagna.

Petagna–who plays for S.P.A.L. in Italy's Serie A division–reportedly paid $600 to obtain the recording from Rodman. But he probably did not imagine he would be addressed as a woman.

Dennis Rodman clearly mistook Petagna for the opposite gender, calling him “honey” and suggesting Petagna would one day play against Rodman's daughter.

Not that this is any knock on Rodman's daughter.

Trinity Rodman made some noise in the soccer world after helping the USWNT qualify for the U-20 World Cup in March. Trinity was also the No. 1 ranked forward in her class, previously signing a letter of intent to attend Washington State University for the fall of 2020.

Of course, Trinity and Pategna might still find a way to kick it, but any such meeting would be the result of some sort of friendly competition.
