Memphis Grizzlies center Jonas Valanciunas and Sacramento Kings big man Harry Giles nearly came to blows on Friday night at the FedEx Forum.

With under six minutes left in regulation of the heated battle, the two big men figured in a physical confrontation down low. The 7-foot Lithuanian corralled an offensive rebound and proceeded to score with a one-handed putback. Valanciunas' left arm, however, got entangled with Giles.

Neither one of them backed off as the pair quickly bumped chests and looked like they were ready to tear each other's head off. They were quickly separated by teammates before things got out of hand.

Luckily for both teams, no punches were thrown and the game proceeded as scheduled.

It was Giles' team who had the last laugh, as the Kings escaped with a hard-fought 104-101 road victory.

Jonas Valanciunas' massive double-double of 13 points and 25 rebounds in 32 minutes went for naught as the Grizzlies dropped their fifth game in a row. Harry Giles, meanwhile, pitched in 16 markers, five rebounds, and two assists for the Kings.
