The Atlanta Hawks said point guard Dennis Schroder is in the process of dealing with the legalities of a pending battery charge filed against him last month after being arrested and released on bail before facing trial.
That's only part of dealing with the consequences as the Hawks have promised to be hands-on with the young point guard during and after his impending trial. Schroder will face future disciplinary action from the team following his arrest last month on a misdemeanor battery charge.

Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk released a statement Monday promising future disciplinary action for Dennis Shroeder from the team after he is officially done with his legal processes.

Travis Schlenk’s official team statement can be read below:
There is an ongoing investigation into the details of the incident involving Dennis Schroder that occurred on Sept. 29th. During this process, we plan to support Dennis as we would any of our players working through a situation.
However, from our preliminary findings, we are aware that Dennis was involved in a physical altercation. That behavior is unacceptable, will not be tolerated by the Hawks organization, and will result in discipline for Dennis at the appropriate time once the matter has been more fully developed through the law enforcement process and otherwise.
Dennis has accepted responsibility for his actions. He looks forward to learning from this incident and focusing on the season.
The Hawks, while open to discipline, have not revealed their exact plans for Schroder, and there is no indication whether he will be allowed to participate in the team's season opener Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks. The German national is bound for a breakout year after an offseason that saw three key scorers from last year leave the Hawks.
