The 41-year old Carter will now be playing in his 21st season in the NBA this year, but he won't be contending for an NBA Championship as the hawks are Clearly in rebuild mode.
Carter played just 17.7 minutes per game last year, averaging 5.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists on just 40 percent shooting from the field. At this point in his career, Carter won't be anything other than a veteran and locker room presence for a young Hawks team.
Funny enough, Carter was drafted three months before young Hawks stud Trae Young was even born.
