Vince Carter of the Atlanta Hawks just reached 25,000 career points. And he did it with a dunk.

Not only did Carter reach the mark via a dunk, but he also did it on his former team, the Toronto Raptors.

And it seemed that his teammates knew that he was about to reach the historic mark. Since even in the closing seconds of a game that's already been sealed, right after getting the rebound, Carter's teammate immediately dished the ball to him. He flushed it down and had a brief moment to celebrate the milestone.

The Raptors congratulated Carter via Twitter, noting that it is with them that Carter's legacy started.

At the height of his career, Carter, more than his depth-defying dunks, was one of the premier scorers in the league. Dunking the ball was just one among the many offensive tools in his arsenal. He was also a gifted shooter from the perimeter and downtown.

And even when his athletic ability dwindled, Carter managed to find ways to score. He wasn't just the veteran voice in the locker room that some tagged him to be. Even at 41 years old, Carter is still an effective scorer in the league. So there's no surprise that he reached the 25,000-point mark.
