The Portland Trail Blazers are in the market for a center, and it appears DeAndre Jordan is just what the doctor ordered for them.
The Trail Blazers, a team on the rise with stars Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, want to upgrade their front court and have reached out to L.A. Clippers star center DeAndre Jordan, per Marc Stein of the New York Times.

The Trail Blazers have four centers on their roster right now: Jusuf Nurkic, Ed Davis, Meyers Leonard and Zach Collins. Each of those players gets minutes, even if it's just under 10 per game like Leonard. On the surface, the Trail Blazers don't really need a center.
But Portland could be in the market to make an upgrade at that position. To do it, the Trail Blazers would likely have to give up at least one of those four players in order to appease the Clippers.

The question is, who could the Clippers want? Jordan is such a specific type of player, and the guys Portland has at that position don't play anything like Jordan. Which leads to the next possibility.
The Trail Blazers would have to give up either Lillard or McCollum. Lillard is likely untouchable, and he and McCollum have some overlapping skill sets. The biggest issue is they both need the ball to be effective.
So if you're Portland, do you give up McCollum and one of those four centers to nab Jordan? It's a touch decision for sure. The Clippers may not even what to do that particular trade.
Let the negotiation begin.
