Damian Lillard did it again.

Lillard has become one of the most clutch players in the NBA. Everyone remembers his huge 3-pointer to beat the Houston Rockets in a playoff series in 2014. That shot clinched the series.
Article Continues BelowLillard has shown over the years that he actually does have ice in his veins. Many have said they do, but Lillard actually proves it on a consistent basis.
There is one problem with this whole thing though. The Suns are one the worst teams in the NBA. In fact, they are now dwell at the last spot in the Western Conference.
The Trail Blazers, on the other hand, are a playoff team. There is absolutely no reason why Portland should have needed a last-second heroic shot from Lillard to beat that Suns team. It's not the best look for the Trail Blazers.
On the other hand, brilliant tank job by the Suns. They didn't just get caught up in a blowout that became unwatchable midway through the second quarter.
Instead, the Suns played hard until the last second and pretended like they wanted to win that game. And they almost did. But that's not in the best interest of the franchise moving forward.
So the game gave fans an exciting watch, and the Suns got their loss. That's a sneaky win-win right there.
