Despite an up-and-down start to their campaign, the Brooklyn Nets are still considered as the favorites to go all the way and win the championship this season. This is thanks in large part to the dominance of James Harden and Kevin Durant who for the most part, have been nothing short of outstanding early on.
Harden knows that stopping himself and KD on any given night is going to pose a gargantuan challenge for opposing teams. However, he did provide a bit of advice on the matter at hand (h/t Kristian Winfield of New York Daily News):
I asked James Harden what a defense is supposed to do when him and Kevin Durant both have it going: "Pray," he said. "Just joking." #Nets

The Nets star did dial it back a bit by saying that he was joking, but in truth, there really is no obvious way to prevent him AND Durant from going off every single game. Harden and Durant are two of the best offensive players this game has ever seen. Stopping one of them is already a daunting task, but holding them both back is nearly impossible.
As Harden suggested above, the best approach opposing defenses can take would be to lift their intentions to the high heavens and pray for some divine intervention. Because in all honesty, when the Nets duo gets it going, stopping them would almost certainly require a miracle.
