Newly acquired Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant was in a bit of a philosophical mood on Monday morning, following his blockbuster move to the Nets no less than 24 hours ago.
Durant angled his inner Roman Payne in a recent Instagram post, where the two-time Finals MVP summarized his journey in the NBA thus far through a very timely quote:

This seems to be a bit of a shoutout for his former team, the Golden State Warriors, and the wonderful city of Oakland, as he leaves the organization after three successful seasons.
Durant certainly did well for himself over the past three seasons, despite how things ended with Golden State. He won back-to-back titles with the Dubs and came very close to a third last season. Many believe that it would have been a three-peat for Durant and the Warriors had he not suffered through a series of injuries in the playoffs.
Despite his recent big-money move, though, Durant is still fully expected to miss the entirety of next season as he recovers from a Achilles tear. During his road to recovery, he will definitely have a lot of time to process his thoughts, so don't get surprised if we come across more philosophical excerpts from the 10-time All-Star in the coming months, especially now that he's teaming up with Kyrie Irving.
