A rather interesting character somehow snuck into the Brooklyn Nets Media Day on Monday and had a couple of interesting questions for Kevin Durant. David Letterman hilariously asked KD a few things and the Nets superstar went right along with it. Take a look:
David Letterman: “Why people call you KD?”
Kevin Durant: “My first name is Kevin with a K, and my last name is Durant with a D.”
“What percentage do you plan to give on the court this year? 90? 95? 100? 110?”
KD: “110%.”

Dave from Basketball Digest. I mean, it could work. Durant's face when he asked him why his nickname is KD. Absolutely priceless. Nets fans will absolutely love Durant's 110% answer, though.
All jokes aside, KD and Brooklyn will be ready to roll as they chase a title this season. The Nets Big 3 ultimately fell short of their goal in 2020/21 due to injuries, but the hope is that Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving can all stay healthy and fulfill their goal in 2022.
Irving's status definitely looks shaky at the moment though as it was recently revealed that he hasn't received the vaccine, which would prevent him from being able to play in home games. But, the situation should be figured out soon.
As for Durant, he will likely be the leading catalyst for the Nets once again. He averaged a ridiculous 34.3 points in the playoffs last season while shooting 40% from downtown. Unfortunately, his heroic efforts weren't enough to get past eventual champions, the Milwaukee Bucks.
I'm sure KD will be prepared for more foolish questions from the media but for now, Letterman just pulled off the ultimate troll job.
