With Kevin Durant currently sidelined with injury, that's meant a lot more free time for him to be on the interwebs. The Brooklyn Nets star has heard some recent chatter from Stephen A. Smith on his legacy and safe to say he didn't appreciate the First Take host's sentiments.

According to Smith, Kevin Durant is at risk of being known more as the guy who won two titles with Stephen Curry then left to join Kyrie Irving unless he successfully wins a title with the Nets. A hot take that KD found rather egregious.

Is it any surprise that Stephen A. Smith has since doubled down on his stance ever since he got the Durant's attention? Smith set the table for what's at stake for KD if the Nets don't win the title this season. In his opinion, James Harden would definitely jump ship and Kyrie Irving's future status remains cloudy as ever, which leaves Durant in limbo.

Durant clapped back on Twitter, calling Smith out for pushing his own “personal agenda” and simply being a hater.

“Steve, since u decided to use ESPN to push your personal agendas, im sure your minions will run with this story for you, but if u believe this is what my career is defined by then you just a flat out hater. It’s gonna be hard to box the god in,” said the Nets star.

While this is far from the top of the list of reasons motivating Kevin Durant to win another championship, his first one away from the Golden State Warriors, ending such talk on his legacy from talking heads like Stephen A. Smith would be a sweet secondary reward.
