The NBA world received some shocking news ahead of the highly anticipated NBA trade deadline when it was announced that the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers completed a blockbuster trade involving James Harden and Ben Simmons. During the NBA All-Star game draft, Nets star Kevin Durant was asked about the Harden-Simmons trade and offered a somewhat timid response to the blockbuster deal, via Bleacher Report.

Nets star Kevin Durant said that “everybody got what they wanted” when it comes to the James Harden-Ben Simmons trade involving the Sixers.
Durant was quick to mention that he's excited for the new group of players that the Nets acquired, such as Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond, to get together and gel with the second half of the season upcoming.
Article Continues BelowIt's very interesting to hear Durant say that “everyone got what they wanted,” which is certainly true of Harden, who didn't want to be in Brooklyn any longer- and Simmons, who clearly didn't want to be in Philadelphia.
However, it's the sort of open-ended response that implies that Durant- and to some extent- Kyrie Irving– got what they wanted out of the Harden-Simmons trade, too.
It will be very interesting to see the new-look Nets and Sixers go head-to-head later this year.
