The Brooklyn Nets might be in just eighth place in the Eastern Conference but they are still looking to compete for a title. Subtracting a disgruntled James Harden and adding Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond balances out their roster and gives them a new look that could propel them back up the standings.
Brooklyn is still active in the buyout market looking for additional pieces. Goran Dragic is the biggest prize of them all. The former All-Star still has enough left in the tank to be a key part of a playoff contender. Several teams are pursuing him, as his skills and playoff experience make him such an attractive addition.
According to NBA reporter Marc Stein, Nets head coach Steve Nash has played an instrumental role in recruiting Dragic to Brooklyn.

Dragic would be a very good addition to Brooklyn. Even though they already have an old guard off the bench that can score and shoot (Patty Mills) Dragic offers strong playmaking skills. Plus, the Nets getting Dragic would mean that another title hopeful doesn't get him. He would also get the chance to fill in as the starting point guard on nights where Kyrie Irving can't play.
Since the Nets are not very high in the standings, still have some issues with Irving's availability and injuries to Simmons and Kevin Durant, they may not be the most attractive destination. Nash will have to use his best sales pitch in order to lure Dragic to Brooklyn.
