When it comes to the Boston Celtics' 103-73 blowout victory over the New York Knicks last night, it was just another brick added to the wall of 20-plus point victories in the Brad Stevens era.
However, according to a tweet by Celtics play-by-play radio announcer Sean Grande, five of 14 20-plus point victories during the Stevens era have come against none other than the Knicks.

After being away from TD Garden for a span of 10 days, the Celtics came home and wiped the floor with the Knicks in the second half of the contest. Up 50-45 at halftime, Boston outscored New York 53-28 the rest of the way, which included limiting the Knicks to an embarrassing eight points in the fourth quarter alone.
The Celtics did all of this without the services of both star point guard Kyrie Irving and guard Marcus Smart, and that had Stevens quite impressed.

“I thought we got ourselves a little bit more re-centered. We played a lot better out west,” coach Stevens said after his team's 30-point win. “So, I was really interested to see how tonight would go without Kyrie.”
In his first career start, Boston third-year point guard Terry Rozier notched his first ever triple-double and gave coach Stevens a good deal of praise in a postgame interview with ESPN.
“Brad just does a good job at putting us in the right position, giving us the confidence from day one when we come into training camp. He believes in every single person on the bench,” Rozier said of coach Stevens. “When you’ve got a coach that has that confidence in you and takes his time with you every day, you have no choice but to play good.”
