Looking to continue their run of success this season, the Chicago Bulls could be in the market for some additional help ahead of the NBA trade deadline on Thursday afternoon. With Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, Ayo Dosunmu, and Patrick Williams all out injured, the Bulls have been playing undermanned for the past several games.
Even though they've held their own and are still sitting at third place in the Eastern Conference, they'll need a deeper rotation as they gun for homecourt advantage in this year's playoffs. With all this in the fold for Chicago, let's now take a look at three players the Bulls must trade for to get some much-needed help for DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic.
Bulls NBA trade deadline moves
Paul Millsap
Officially having fallen out of the rotation in Brooklyn, Paul Millsap's tenure with the Nets definitely hasn't gone as he'd hoped it would. With both Millsap and the Nets agreeing to find him a more workable situation for the remainder of the season, the Bulls could be the perfect landing spot for him.
On a young and dynamic Bulls squad, Millsap would give Chicago another accomplished veteran outside of DeRozan while providing them with an established combo forward who would bolster their frontline. This would give the Bulls a ton of relief while giving Millsap a fresh start where he would have an immediate impact on a title contender.
Goran Dragic
Article Continues BelowNot having suited up for the Toronto Raptors since November 2021 and currently drawing a ton of interest on the trade market, Goran Dragic would be an ideal fit on the Bulls with Ball and Caruso out injured and the Bulls playing with a depleted backcourt rotation. Throwing Dragic in the mix with LaVine, DeRozan, and Coby White would add an explosive new element to their offense.
This would also give them another scrappy defender to play in their aggressive defensive sets. On the Bulls, Dragic would fill a major need for the Bulls while providing them with an elite combo guard who's previous run to the NBA Finals could bring a ton of wisdom to this up-and-coming Eastern Conference powerhouse.
Jerami Grant
His name has been swirling around in trade rumors all throughout the season and now his time with the Detroit Pistons may finally be coming to an end. It goes without saying that Jerami Grant would be a tailor-made fit with the Bulls and give them a lethal dose of scoring, defense, rebounding, and playmaking at the forward spot.
His length and athleticism would be vital and give them another multi-skilled big outside of Vucevic who could put up big numbers while adding another lob threat for this star-studded Bulls team. In Grant, the Bulls would have the ultimate frontcourt mate to play alongside Vucevic while they await the return of Patrick Williams.
Still just 27 years old, Grant would add to Chicago's youth movement while helping them to contend and stay competitive in the deep and talented Eastern Conference. If the Bulls want to rev things up and vastly improve their title chances, then making a move for Grant would be their best play.
