The Chicago Bulls have gotten some more unfortunate COVID-19 news as they have announced that Ayo Dosunmu and Stanley Johnson have landed in the league's health and safety protocols. These two players now join Derrick Jones Jr., DeMar DeRozan, Matt Thomas, Coby White, and Javonte Green.
It has been a rough past 10-plus days for the Bulls. Prior to the COVID outbreak, they were playing some of the best basketball in all of the NBA. They are still in second place in the Eastern Conference as they are 17-9 on the season and only one game behind the first-place Brooklyn Nets. They showed that when everybody is healthy, they have the potential to win an NBA title due to how well Zach LaVine and DeRozan have played.
Article Continues BelowOnce the Bulls come back healthy, there is no reason to think that they are going to do anything other then what they did prior to everybody being in the health and safety protocols. They were playing like one of the best teams in the NBA and they're going to continue to do so because the front office did a great job by getting all these players during the off-season and surrounded all of them with the right fit.
Chicago's biggest concern is getting everybody back on the court but once they do it, they might have some moves to make at the NBA Trade Deadline. If they want to compete with teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets in the Eastern Conference, they need to make some moves.
