The Chicago Bulls are in chaos since Jim Boylen took over, but that doesn't mean the new coach is already in the hot seat.

In fact, it's the total opposite as the Bulls' front office remains supportive of the 53-year-old coach, who took the reins at Chicago after Fred Hoiberg was fired last week.

It has been a bizarre week for the Bulls. After sacking Hoiberg and appointing Jim Boylen as his permanent replacement, they suffered their worst loss in franchise history at the hands of the Boston Celtics.

After that, reports surfaced that the players started a group chat and encouraged each other not to attend practice last Sunday. A players-only meeting was also reportedly conducted to address the issue and how the players can move forward.

Despite all these, however, the Bulls' top brass said that Boylen is ‘safe' and even lauded him for how he handled the situation.

“Jim handled [Sunday] really well. It was a teachable moment for our young guys,” a member of the Chicago front office told Joe Cowley of Chicago Sun-Times.

The drama in Chi-Town is far from over. With rumors continuously surfacing about the franchise's dysfunction, it's unlikely that it will end any time soon.

The good news for Boylen, though, is that he has the authorities backing him.
