While the Chicago Bulls got eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, DeMar DeRozan said he wouldn't want his first season with the team any other way.

DeRozan showed his All-Star mettle right from the start, often saving Chicago from the brink of defeat with his clutch genes. The Bulls were also once among the top dogs in the East earlier before they hit a rough patch late in the campaign.

Even though it didn't go as planned after the Milwaukee Bucks knocked them out of the 2022 playoff, DeRozan described his firs season with the team as a “perfect” one.

“Couldn't have went a better way. It's been a great year to say the least. Just being around the front office, teammates, city. Everything has been something more than I could've imagined,” DeRozan said, per KC Johnson of NBC Sports.

The Bulls finished the 2021-22 regular season as the sixth seed, with DeMar DeRozan leading them in scoring with 27.9 points per game. Due to his brilliant play, the former Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs swingman was selected as an All-Star starter.

Sure enough, it was an almost “perfect” season for DeRozan. He would certainly want to end it in a good note, but the Bulls just didn't have enough to compete with the top dogs in the East. The good news for Chicago is DeRozan is here to stay for years, and the team is just getting started with a solid core that figures to be consistent postseason contenders.
