The Chicago Bulls notched their fourth straight win on Monday night despite a severely depleted roster as they pummeled an equally shorthanded Atlanta Hawks, 130-118. In what has become a trend, DeMar DeRozan led the way for the Bulls, who improved to 21-10.

But DeRozan, who top-scored with 35 points, made sure he also gave credit to his teammates, particularly Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic, who added 30 and 24 markers, respectively.

“We're the veteran leaders of this team. That's our job. We've got a couple of key guys out, and it was up to us to step up and play big, especially against an Atlanta Hawks team that was going to come out and play hard. The three main guys did what they were supposed to do and everybody else fell in line.”

DeRozan calling him, LaVine, and Vucevic as the main guys of the Bulls might not sit too well with Lonzo Ball. While the floor general isn't as lethal in scoring, his arrival in the offseason has surely helped turn things around in the Windy City. His playmaking has been key in DeRozan, LaVine, and Vucevic getting good looks.

Despite being only 24 years old, Lonzo could also be considered as one of the Bulls' veteran leaders, given his ability to orchestrate plays and play spectacular defense. He, however, will be sidelined for a few games due to COVID-19 protocols.

DeRozan surely didn't mean anything wrong with his remarks, but it would also be hard to blame Lonzo if he feels left out of the Bulls‘ stars.
